Civitella Ranieri Internships
Interns are a treasured and integral part of the community and daily life. They provide assistance with library functions, the meal program, excursions, presentations, and exhibitions at the Center. Interns work with both the Executive Director and the Fellows鈥� Coordinator on a variety of special projects built around individual interests, experience, goals, and skills. The Civitella internship is a true formative experience stressing public speaking, teamwork, problem solving, and program planning. The annual competition for interns begins with an announcement on the website each fall in the NEWS section. The deadline for applications is December 31st each year.
What is ? Artists require unfettered time and space to engage in their work and the world. Building on the legacy of our founder, Ursula Corning, the opens the doors of its 15th century castle in rural Umbria annually for four six-week residency sessions of self-directed studio and work time. Each residency community of 12-14 brings together accomplished international artists, writers, and composers at emerging and established moments in their careers. They are joined by a limited number of invited Director鈥檚 Guests to foster a robust contemporary dialogue that transcends disciplines and geography. A Civitella Ranieri Fellowship changes lives, develops permanent connections, and refreshes one鈥檚 work.
Peggy Guggenheim Collection Internships
The museum offers for 密桃视频 and international students who study art, art history or related disciplines who are interested in gaining first-hand experience of how a museum is run. The program is a learning experience for all who take part, immersing interns in the cultural life of the city of Venice, allowing them to gain practical experience of museum operations and familiarity with an important collection of modern art. Activities include managing the galleries during opening hours to the public, assisting visitors, staffing the ticket office, cloakroom and other visitor facilities, supporting the museum office staff in various departments and participation in the educational activities of the museum, including presentations to the public, guided tours and workshops with children. The program includes educational activities such as seminars, conferences, educational trips and guided tours for interns.

Summer Intensive Latin Program
The typically offers Summer Intensive Language Programs in Greek and Latin. Students may enroll for one or both sessions in either language. Those who successfully complete Session II will be prepared to enroll in upper level undergraduate or perhaps graduate Latin or Greek courses. This course is an introduction to the Latin language and literature of the late antique and medieval periods (ca. A.D. 200-1500). Designed to move students toward independent work with Medieval Latin texts, the course will emphasize the close reading and careful translation of a variety of representative Medieval Latin texts and documents, with attention to vocabulary and word formation, orthography and pronunciation, morphology and syntax, and prose styles and metrics. The course will also provide an introduction to the principal areas of medieval Latin scholarship, including lexica, bibliographies, a review of the principal constructions of Classical Latin and great collections and repertories of sources, and reference works for the study of Latin works composed in the Middle Ages. ($45 materials fee). The Medieval Academy of America鈥檚 Committee on Centers and Regional Associations (CARA) offers two full-tuition scholarships for students taking a three-credit summer program Latin course through the Medieval Institute at Notre Dame.
